Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize warming up and to reduce fuel consumption by controlling opening/closing time of a choke valve according to the environmental temperature of an engine after staring the engine, in a choke valve control device for a carburetor.
SOLUTION: In this choke valve control device, a choke operating lever 32 opening/closing the choke valve 25, a choke spring 30 energizing the choke valve 25 in an opening valve direction, and damper 38 gently controlling valve opening when the choke valve 25 is opened by energizing force of the choke spring 30, are connected to the choke valve 25 of the carburetor 23. The damper 38 is composed of a damper housing 40, a rotor 41 stored in the housing 40, and a damper oil 42 adding viscous resistance to rotations of the rotor 41.
