Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker which has a high short-circuiting cutoff performance and has a stable opening/closing cutoff performance even in a small current area since a circuit interrupter of the circuit breaker is generally formed from a support plate and a magnetic iron plate, capacity near a contact is made narrow by a partition plate and the short-circuiting cutoff performance can be improved only by an arc narrowing-down effect but cutting-off may be displaced since an arc cooling effect is weakened by cutting off a DC small current area.SOLUTION: The circuit interrupter is formed from a case and a plurality of magnetic iron plates. The case is integrally molded with a mold resin and includes a pair of sidewalls connected in parallel with a moving direction of a movable contact and a pair of partition plates inside of the sidewalls. The case holds the magnetic iron plates by inserting the magnetic iron plates along grooves provided on opposite surfaces of the sidewalls. The partition plate includes a notch, and U-shaped opposing two sides of the magnetic iron plate is exposed from the notch to the side of the movable contact.
