Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve a driving voltage generation circuit for a liquid crystal display device, expressing more concretely, the driving voltage generation circuit for the liquid crystal display device adjusting sisplay luminance corresponding to display contrast changing according to a viewing angle, etc.

CONSTITUTION: This circuit is a circuit supplying the driving voltage (VLCD) to the liquid crystal display device, and is provided with a voltage selection switching circuit 11 outputting/non-outputting a source voltage (VDD) from plural output parts (P1-Pn) based on a control signal (DS), an internal voltage generation circuit 12 generating a first internal voltage (VA) based on the output condition of the source voltage (VDD) of the voltage selection switching circuit 11, a voltage step-down circuit 13 lowering the first internal voltage (VA) and generating a second internal voltage (VB) and outputting it to an output circuit 14, and the output circuit 14 generating the driving voltage (VLCD) based on the second internal voltage (VB) and outputting it to the liquid crystal display device.
