The clamping device includes a first attaching part 15 to which a stationary mold 5 is attached, a second attaching part 16 to which a movable mold 4 is attached, a stationary platen 9 disposed on the opposite side of the second attaching part in relation to the first attaching part, at least one movable block 12 disposed between the first attaching part and the stationary platen, and a driving mechanism 11 making the movable block movable and fixing the movable block at a predetermined position. The second attaching part 16 is movable relative to the first attaching part 15 for abutting/separating the movable mold on/from the stationary mold. The movable block 12 is in contact with both of one surface 17 on the first attaching part side and one surface 18 on the stationary platen side which is inclined relative to the one surface 17. The driving mechanism 11 makes the movable block 12 slide-movable for adjusting a distance from the one surface 18 on the stationary platen side to the one surface 17 on the first attaching part side.
