To reduce cleaning failure resulting from uneven contact between the leading end part of a cleaning member and the surface of an image holder, which occurs due to elastic deformation of a vibration control member, which restricts vibration of a cleaning support.
A cleaner (CL1) comprises: a plate-like cleaning member (2) in contact with the image holder (PR); a cleaning container (2) accommodating developer; a cleaning support (21) having a cleaning support portion (23) supporting the cleaning member (2) and a supported portion (22) bent with respect to the cleaning support portion (23); a support part (11) for a support body, having a counter portion (14) opposite to the supported portion (22), provided on the cleaning container (2), and supporting the cleaning support (21); a vibration control member (17) disposed between the supported portion (22) and the counter portion (14), composed so as to be elastically deformable, and configured to restrict vibration; and a fixing member (31) configured such that the cleaning support (21) is fixed to the support part (11) of the support in a position adjacent to the vibration control member (17).
