The light diffusing member includes a curved surface in at least a part of a surface. Fine irregularities 12 having a transmitted light diffusion property are formed in at least a part of regions on the curved surface. Irregularity directions of the fine irregularities 12 on the curved surface are arranged substantially uniformly in one direction, the fine irregularities are formed using a mold, and the irregularity directions are arranged substantially uniformly in a mold release direction.
