To provide a cleaning apparatus for cleaning an article to be cleaned thoroughly by devising a manner of vibrating a cleaning member which is in contact with an object to be cleaned, such as a human body, and vibrates.

The cleaning apparatus has: an eccentric rotary shaft 24 which is stored inside a housing 16 and rotatable; a moving member 26 equipped with a long hole 27 fitted to the eccentric rotary shaft 24; an attachment member 17 which is provided outside the housing 16 and integrally moves with the moving member 26; a cleaning member 18 removably attached to the attachment member 17; a power source which is provided independently of the housing 16 and generates rotation drive force; and a power transfer body of a wired shape which transfers rotation force of the power source to the eccentric rotary shaft and has flexibility. The cleaning member 18 has a cleaning surface 18a in contact with the object to be cleaned. The long hole 27 is long in the direction at a right angle with the cleaning surface 18a. The moving member 26 reciprocally moves in the direction parallel to the cleaning surface 18a inside the housing 16 by the rotation of the eccentric rotary shaft 24.
