PURPOSE: To prevent the peel-off in the middle of using a plate-like soft blade member by employing a specific two-layered adhesive structure.

CONSTITUTION: A metallic plate-like holding member 2 for a cleaning blade 10 is press-worked, and on its one edge side a 1st adhesive layer 10a is formed with an R part 5 packed. A 2nd adhesive layer 11 is formed on the upper side of the 1st layer with the R part 5 packed, and the adhesive layers 10a and 11 firmly bond the plate-like soft blade member 3 on the metallic plate-like holding member 2. Thus no wedge-like gap occurs on the interface between the 1st adhesive layer 10a and the plate-like holding member 2. On top of that, no wedge-like gap occurs between the both adhesive layers 10a and 11. In case peel-off force applies to the R part 5 when the blade member 3 is pressure- contacted the photosensitive drum, they hardly peel off, and an excellent adhesion can be maintained accordingly.
