To provide a cleaning method capable of preventing ink from being diluted by mixture of a cleaning liquid and ink, in re-filling the ink and of maintaining compatibility with detergency of the ink passage, re-filling performance of ink, and image characteristics immediately after ink-refilling and also to provide an inkjet recording device.
The inkjet recording device includes: an ink flying means for recording an image on a recording medium by exciting and flying the ink; the ink tank for temporarily reserving at least any one of the ink and the cleaning liquid; and the ink passage for connecting the ink tank with the ink flying means and for allowing at least any one of the ink and the cleaning liquid to be filled. The cleaning liquid contains at least one aqueous solvent wherein the density under one atmospheric pressure at 20C is 1.1 gcm-3 and wherein the content amount of the aqueous solvent is 70 mass% and the density of the cleaning liquid c and the density of the ink i satisfy formula c/i1.00.
