Abstract:

To obtain the subject composition which is weakly alkaline and exhibits an excellent washing power against various stains, by compounding a specific nonionic surfactant, sodium carbonate and sodium tripolyphosphate in a specific ratio.

This cleanser composition for automatic dish washers comprises (A) 0.5 to 20 wt.% of a nonionic surfactant which is expressed by the formula: R-O-(EO)m(PO)n-R' [R is an alkyl containing 11 to 16 carbon atoms on the average; R' is H or methyl; EO is an ethylene oxide addition unit; PO is a propylene oxide addition unit; (m) is 2.0 to 11.0; (n) is 0.4 to 9.5, provided that (m)/(n)=0.8 to 5.0] and has a 1 wt.% aqueous solution clouding point of ≤60°C, preferably 20 to 50°C, (B) 5 to 80 wt.% of sodium carbonate, (C) 5 to 80 wt.% of sodium tripolyphosphate. The composition is preferably used for automatic dish washers always used at a washing temperature of 45 to 70°C for a washing time of one min and 30 sec or less.
