Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attenuate pulsation caused by spitting and suppress suction heating of coolant gas.
CONSTITUTION: A communication pipe 20' is tapered so that it is larger at the side of an expansion chamber 22 than at the side of a suction chamber 7 in inner diameter. A spitting pipe 25 is tapered so that it is smaller at the side of a resonance chamber 23 than at the side of the suction chamber in inner diameter. The spitted coolant gas is thus introduced to the resonance chamber to attenuate its pulsation. A thermal insulative cover 26 is provided on a suction muffler in such a manner that a thermal insulative layer 27 is provided, so that heating of the coolant gas to be introduced to the intake chamber 7 is suppressed.
