Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock synchronism monitoring method for OSC signal in wavelength multiplex system, by which optimal clock synchronism is monitored in OSC communication by masking a slip alarm when this slip alarm is raised by a transmission line fault.
SOLUTION: In the wavelength multiplex system, with which a managing message or user data are transferred among successively connected devices by clock synchronized OSC communication, each of devices monitors clock synchronism and when a transmission line fault occurs, slip alarm mask information is inserted to the OSC signal and transmitted to the opposite device. Then, the opposite device extracts the slip alarm mask information out of the received ISC signal and masks the slip alarm.
