Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely close an opening of a joint and to enable the adherence to the opening firmly by execution simple mounting with a comparatively simple member in the joint of frame members such as steel tower, etc.
SOLUTION: Closing covers 6 having forms capable of being closely fitted to an opening 5 formed in a joint end section such as cast-iron cross-shaped joint hardwear 1 welded to a steel pipe A and having the circumferential parts at least formed of elastic member such as rubber, etc., are inserted into the opening 5. By this constitution, the incursion of rain water into the steel pipe A as well as ventilation is prevented to surely eliminate the corrosion of the inside of the steel pipe, and their comming-off can be surely prevented during the work or after the construction.
