To provide a clutch device which can improve a power consumption suppression effect.
A clutch device 20 comprises: a steering wheel side housing 36; a wheel side housing 38; a connection switching mechanism 44 for switching a connection state of the steering wheel side housing 36 and the wheel side housing 38 to a coupling state and a separation state, which maintains the connection state after the switching by receiving the supply of power; a stroke sensor 60 for detecting displacement of a plunger 52a; and a clutch control part for controlling operation of the connection switching mechanism 44 by changing power supplied to a pull-type solenoid 52. The clutch control part changes maintenance power for maintaining the switched state after the connection state is switched on the basis of the displacement of the plunger 52a which is detected by the stroke sensor 60.
