Abstract:

To provide a coal gasification type power plant operated by gasifying coal with oxygen or oxygen-enriched air produced by using an oxygen production device and then using the produced gas as a fuel to rotate a gas turbine, capable of corresponding to the change of load.

This coal gasification type power plant is operated by using the extracted air of a gas turbine compressor to produce oxygen or oxygen- enriched air from an oxygen-producing device, using the oxygen or the oxygen- enriched air as an oxidizing agent to gasify coal, and then using the produced gas as a fuel to operate a gas turbine for the generation of power. Therein, when the load to the plant is raised, the extracted air from the gas turbine compressor is directly supplied to the gasification oven to improve the load followingness.
