Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coast stop control device that enables a gear to be changed to an optimal gear before bringing an engine into a stop state during travelling.SOLUTION: The coast stop control device executing coast stop control of automatically stopping the engine during a vehicle travelling state includes: engine stop condition determination means for determining if engine can be stopped; and gear change control means for controlling a change gear ratio of a transmission mechanism. The coast stop control device controls the transmission mechanism to a predetermined change gear ratio when the engine stop condition determination means determines that an engine stop condition is met.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
