Abstract:
To make a pattern come up on a coaster when receiving dew condensation water, while keeping water absorbency of a surface of the coaster high.SOLUTION: A coaster body 1, formed from porous ceramic, has high water absorbency. On the coaster body 1, a permeable ground layer 2 is formed; and a white ink layer 3A and a color developing ink layer 3B containing a temperature-indicating color developing agent that develops color in the case of being cooled from the room temperature are formed on the ground layer by using screen printing. Because each of the ink layers 3A, 3B includes minute water-passing gaps communicating with their lower layer and has permeability, dew condensation water (cold water) adhering to a glass passes through each of the ink layers 3A, 3B and permeates countless minute pores in the coaster body and cools the temperature-indicating color developing agent in the color developing ink layer 3B, which causes a pattern to come up on a surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
