Title:
COATED ELECTRODE OF AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3483657
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain weld metal having excellent creep rupture strength and creep rupture ductility at a high temp. by specifying the compsn. of the core wire and coating material of a coated electrode of an austenitic stainless steel for high temp.
CONSTITUTION: The austenitic stainless steel consisting, by weight% of the total weight of the core wire, of ≤0.025 C, 15.0 to 21.0 Cr, 7.0 to 14.0 Ni, 1.2 to 3.2 Mo and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities is used as the core wire. The core wire is circumferentially coated, at a coating rate of 20 to 40%, with the coating material contg., by the total weight of the coating material, 25 to 55% titanium oxide, 5 to 25% metal carbonate, 4 to 20% metal fluoride, 1 to 15% silicate compd. and 1 to 35% metallic powder. P is incorporated, by the weight of the core wire, at 0.015 to 0.044%, N at 0.03 to 0.25% and V at 0.03 to 0.80% in either or both of the core wire and the coating material and Nb is limited to <0.1%. Further, the value of Nb/V is so controlled as to attain ≤0.25 and the value of N/5Nb+V) to attain ≥0.30.
