Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a panel for building material excellent in not only weather resistance and corrosion resistance but the hardness of a coating film and anti- staining property by mixing an inorganic base clear specified in the content of an inorganic solid portion with an inorganic base solid, in which a pigment is added, in a specific ratio and applying on a metallic base material.
SOLUTION: The inorganic clear (coating material containing no pigment) having 20-70wt.% inorganic solid portion is mixed with the inorganic base solid (colored coating material containing a pigment) in the weight ratio (inorganic clear)/(inorganic solid) of 0.3-15. The coating material is applied on the metallic base material. As the inorganic clear and the inorganic base solid, an alkali silicate base (Na, K, Li silicate) and a metallic alkoxide base (an alkoxy silane compound) are adequate. As the metallic base material coated with the inorganic coating material, a common steel sheet, a stainless steel sheet, a Zn, Al-Zn alloy or Sn plated steel sheet is used. The film thickness of the coating material is suitably 30-60μm.
