Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain coated paper for printing having high blank glossiness, excellent in ink-absorbing properties and the like, especially in the case of a sheet-feed printing, generating no irregular impression, good in ink-drying properties, excellent in printability and having high gloss and provide a method for producing the coated paper capable of easily producing coated paper for printing having uniform and stable quality at a low cost.
SOLUTION: This coated paper for printing is produced by making a surface layer containing a mixture of a thermoplastic polymer having ≥80°C glass transition temperature with a surface sizing agent on a pigment coated layer of a base material in which the pigment coated layer is made on a support. Preferably, the coated paper contains the surface sizing agent in 3-100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the thermoplastic polymer.
