Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a coated polydicyclopentadiene article having excellent long-term adhesion and durability of the coating film, causing little evaporation of unreacted monomer and useful for automotive part items, etc., by contacting the surface of a polydicyclopentadiene article with a specific solvent and coating with a specific solvent-soluble fluororesin coating.
CONSTITUTION: This coated polydicyclopentadiene article can be produced by contacting the surface of a polydicyclopentadiene article with a solvent containing preferably ≥30% of aromatic organic solvent such as benzene and applying a solvent-soluble fluororesin coating containing hydroxyl group and/or carboxyl group in the molecule to the treated surface.
