Abstract:

To provide a coater in which a coating pattern of a solution applied from nozzles onto a substrate can be controlled with good accuracy.

The coater for the solution which applies the solution onto the substrate conveyed in a prescribed direction with the prescribed pattern comprises a head 9 having a large number of the nozzles 16 for discharging the solution by an ink jet system, a driving section 20 for discharging the solution intermittently from each head of the nozzles, and a controller 21 which is stored with the coordinate data of the nozzles of the head and discharges the solution from the nozzles to the substrate by controlling the driving of the driving section 20 on the basis of the coordinate data and the coating pattern of the solution.
