Abstract:
To provide coating compositions capable of cationic electrodeposition using an aqueous medium, to use these compositions in a cationic electrodeposition method, and to suppress the production or propagation of bacteria in the bath and the circumference thereof.
The coating composition capable of electrodeposition is dispersed into an aqueous medium for a resin phase. The composition at least has pH 5. The resin phase has a basic nitrogen group at least partially neutralized with an acid in formula 1; wherein, R is hydrogen or a 1 to 4C alkyl group.
