PURPOSE: To provide a coating composition which has improved wear resistance, water repellency and adhesion to a resin or rubber by compounding a specific polyurethane, a fluororesin, a silicone oil, a halogenating agent and castor oil polyol.
CONSTITUTION: A polyol (e.g. polyoxypropylene glycol having a number average molecular weight of 800-6,000), triethanolamine and a polyisocyanate (e.g. 2,4- tolylene diisocyanate) are reacted to give a polyurethane having a polyol to triethanolamine molar ratio of 1:0.05 to 1:2.0 and an -OH to -NCO molar ratio of 1:1.5 to 1:7. A coating composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. said polyurethane, 2-100 pts.wt. fluororesin (e.g. tetrafluoroethylene resin), 5-200 pts.wt. silicon oil, 0.002-20 pts.wt. halogenating agent (e.g. N-bromosuccinimide), 10-60 pts.wt. castor oil polyol having a hydroxyl value of 80-92 and a solvent (e.g. benzene).
