Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition which enables an electroless plating treatment to be performed easily, has high safety with little adverse effect on environment, provides a film of good appearance of electroless plating, provides excellent adhesion between a substrate and a coating film formed by the coating composition for electroless plating, provides excellent adhesion between the coating film and an electroless plating film, and further provides heat-resistant adhesion between the coating film and the electroless plating film after being stored under high temperature.SOLUTION: Provided is a coating composition for providing articles including ceramics with electroless plating, comprising the following (1) to (3): (1) a composite of at least one kind of metal particles and a dispersant, the metal particles being selected from the group consisting of platinum and palladium; (2) at least one kind selected from the group consisting of water and aprotic polar solvents; and (3) an inorganic binder.
