Abstract:
To provide a coating composition capable of making a combustible substrate as flame retardant and forming a coating film having high transparency.SOLUTION: There is provided a coating composition which comprises (a) a water-soluble melamine resin, (b) a condensation-polymerized phosphoric acid ester and (c) one or more of phosphoric acid, boric acid, an ammonium salt and ammonia water. The coating composition comprises 100 pts.mass or more and 500 pts.mass or less of the component (b) based on 100 pts.mass of the component (a). The coating composition forms a transparent coating film. The coating composition comprises, for example, 25 pts.mass or more and 100 pts.mass or less of the component (c) based on 100 pts.mass of the component (a).SELECTED DRAWING: None
