Abstract:

To provide a coating device for hole transport layer formation capable of forming a hole transport layer of a polymer organic EL element in a uniform film thickness at low cost.

For the coating device provided with a rotating stage 11 having a holding face 111 holding a substrate 100 equipped with an effective screen 101 with an electrode layer formed, and a spinning motor 13 driving the rotating stage 11, in which an ink composition containing a hole transport layer material is coated on the electrode layer by rotating the rotating stage 11 with the substrate 100 held by the holding face 111 and a solvent ingredient is removed by heat treatment or the like to form the hole transport layer, the holding face 111 of the rotating stage 11 is structured in the same area as a plane-view area of the substrate 100.
