In the coating device provided with a coating head provided with a discharge port for discharging the coating liquid, a holding means for holding the coating head, a supporting means for supporting the member to be coated to face the discharge port of the coating head and a moving means for moving relatively one of the coating head or the member to be coated and for forming the coating film of the coating liquid discharged from the discharge port of the coating head on the member to be coated, the holding means and the coating head have respectively a holding surface for holding the coating head and at least one of the holding surfaces is not existed on the same plane in the longitudinal direction of the coating head.
