To provide a method for manufacturing a coating liquid for forming an electrophotographic photoreceptor photosensitive layer for obtaining the inexpensive and highly durable electrophotographic photoreceptor which sustains a low surface friction coefficient, and is good in electrophotographic characteristics and with which image formation and cleaning stable for a long period can be performed; to provide a coating liquid for forming the photo-sensitive layer manufactured by the manufacturing method for the coating liquid for forming the photosensitive layer; or to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor manufactured by the coating liquid for forming the photosensitive layer; or to provide an image forming apparatus and image forming method using such electrophotographic photoreceptor; and to provide a process cartridge for the image forming apparatus using such electrophotographic photoreceptor.
In the method for manufacturing the coating liquid for forming the photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor. the coating liquid is composed of at least an organic solvent and particulates and at the time of approximately uniformly dispersing the particulates by high-velocity liquid collision dispersion into the solvent, the method is provided with a dispersion step of holding the temperature of the coating liquid right after the collision dispersion at <40°C and dispersing the particulates in the solvent.
