To provide a container for supplying a coating solution and a method for supplying a coating solution, which are excellent in measurement precision since excess incident light such as disturbance light to a sensor window is prevented in the case of measuring the surface of a coating solution in the container in non-contact manner, which are capable of accurately measuring the surface of a coating solution and free from a problem of occurrence of a measurement error caused in the case of measuring the surface of a coating solution by moving an optical sensor, and which are enabled to suppress the waste or loss of a coating solution in the container to the minimum in the case a plurality of containers are made ready and the containers are exchanged.
The container for supplying a coating solution has a coating solution storage part for storing a coating solution, an optical sensor installation part for installing an optical type sensor in the outside part of the coating solution storage part, and a sensor window which transmits outgoing light emitted from the optical type sensor and reflected light from the surface of the coating solution in the upper part of the coating solution storage part: and the optical sensor installation part has a shape covering the sensor window and the coating solution storage part has an adjustment means for allowing adjustment of the height of the optical type sensor.
