This coating material composition contains (A) 65-95 pts.wt. hydroxyl group-containing polyester resin having 1,500-35,000 number-average molecular weight, -30 to +60°C glass transition temperature and 3-100 mgKOH/ g hydroxyl value and (B) 5-35 pts.wt. melamine resin cross-linking agent which is a melamine resin, having alkyl etherified methylol groups and containing ≥20% number of the methylol groups etherified with a 6-12C alkyl groups and (C) a curing catalyst in an amount of 0.1-2.0 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. total amount of the film-forming resin components. The coated metallic plate is obtained by forming a coating film of the coating material composition on a metallic plate so as to provide 21-40 μm film thickness.
