To provide a coating material enabling the coat of a wall panel to be easily repaired without damaging the appearance and without procuring the coating material; and to provide the wall panel coated with the coating material.

The coating material consisting essentially of a liquid medium and a resin is obtained by mixing capsules including the coating material having the same color as the coating material. The wall panel is coated with the coating material. When a damage such as a crack is caused in the wall panel 1, the capsules 3 at the position having the caused damage are ruptured to discharge the coating material included in the capsules to fill the position having the caused crack, and to repair the position because the coating material comprising the coating material 2 for coloring or protecting the panel 4 and the capsules 3 including the coating material having the same color as the coating material 2 is used.
