Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain metal products coated with films resistant to corrosion, water, and chemicals by coating an ethylene-α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer by powder painting method on a cationic resin film formed by cationic electrodeposition.
CONSTITUTION: A metal product coated with a cationic resin paint by electrodeposition is coated with an ethylene-α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer by powder painting. An ethylene-α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer containing 4-15weight% of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and having 5-25g/10 minute melt flow rate is used. By the coating, the metal product can have a resin film with excellent resistance to corrosion especially to water and chemicals.
