Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the small-sized coating removal device of a low running cost capable of coping with a single-fiber optical fiber and a multi-fiber optical fiber and being used at any site.
SOLUTION: This device is provided with a supporting body 7 for supporting one end side of the optical fiber 5 between a pair of freely openable and closable cutter holders 9 and 10 and a holder holding body 8 capable of approaching and separating in the length direction of the optical fiber 5 to/from the supporting body 7 in the state of mounting a fiber holder 2. To the supporting body 7, positioning parts 58 and 61 for a single fiber for positioning the single-fiber optical fiber and the positioning parts 13 and 18 for multiple fibers for positioning the multi-fiber optical fiber 5 are disposed and also cutting blades 16 and 21 are inclined and disposed while turning blade tips to the one end side. The cutting blades 16 and 21 cut off a coating material when the optical fiber 5 is relatively moved to the other end side.
