Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating rod, with which excellent coating quality with only a small unevenness of coating film thickness is attained.
SOLUTION: The coating unevenness is not generated even in the case of high speed coating when the coating rod 10 with circular mountain is used to uniformly apply a coating agent 106 in a prescribed thickness on the surface of a member 104 to be coated in a coating device, because the lead angle of a projected strip 12 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the coating rod with circular mountain is zero. In the case that a coating rod, on which a spiral projected stripe having a lead angle θ is formed, is used, a certain directivity of the lead angle θ is generated in the flow of entangled air, and then, a partial thickness fluctuation is generated of form the coating unevenness visually recognized in the lead angel direction in the case of relatively high speed coating, for example, at 450-800 m/min.
