PURPOSE: To cause stored coffee beans to generate aroma again and to produce different roasted beans by using a single kind of beans by a method wherein a heating chamber is situated to a crushing chamber, and a heating device and a blower device, feeding hot air in the crushing chamber, are mounted to the outside of the bottom part of the crushing chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Beans are charged in a bean storage chamber 1, coffee intended to be additionally roasted is selected by a switch panel 10, and a key is inputted by a degree of roasting switch 11. In this case, beans are not heated through heat conduction but beans are heated by feeding hot air in a crushing chamber 1 with the aid of a heater 4, a blast fan 6, and a blast motor 7. Thereby, by increasing a blast amount, agitation of beans is practicable, and uniform heating can take place. After heating, the heater 4 is turned OFF, and by feeding cold air only with the aid of the blast fan 6, beans can be cooled rapidly. This constitution produces beans having the different degrees of roasting by using a single kind of beans, amuses diversification of coffee, and enables regeneration of lost aroma of coffee beans.
