To improve a load stability of a coil shape member to be rolled at a time of winding by elevating a roll supporting member against a bottom supporting member, and elevating the bottom supporting member against a fixed surface.
An inlet side roll 6 and an exit side roll 7 of the first cradle roll are supported by a roll supporting member (frame) 5, and a bottom supporting member 8 is installed below the supporting member 5. An exit side end part neighborhood thereof is coupled freely rotatable to an exit side neighborhood of the supporting member 5. A fixed supporting member 15 supports an inlet end neighborhood of the bottom supporting member 8 freely rotatably. A roll elevation cylinder 10 of a supporting member elevation means is connected with an inlet portion of the supporting member 5 for elevating the roll supporting member 5. A bottom supporting member elevation means 12 is connected with an exit side portion of the bottom supporting member 8 for elevating the bottom supporting member 8 against the fixed surface. With the usage of a coil box thus constructed, a coil shape can be improved.
