To solve the problem that a technique exhibited in Fig. 8 (a) cannot offer reliability in the electrical connection between electrode 2 and wire end 3A, because heat welding the wire end 3A in the electrode 2 results in a level difference between the wire end 3A and the electrode 2, which destabilizes the position of a coil component upon mounting, and another techque cannot apply to a coil component in which a core and electrodes are formed integrally together, because projects of tabular electrode ends of different members from the core are molded by an embossing process according to the technique.
The coil component 10 comprises a core 11, electrodes 12 formed integrally with the flange 11B of the core 11, and a wire 13 covered with an insulating sheath which is wound around the wound core 11A of the core 11. The flange 11B is provided with at least one raised part 11C formed in the direction where the raised part 11C crosses the extension of the wire 13, and the electrodes 12 are formed on the raised part 11C.
