Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil-shaped wire saw capable of restraining displacement of an abrasive coil in an axial or diameter direction of a core wire and capable of efficiently transmitting the cutting pressure of the abrasive coil to a cutting target.SOLUTION: A coil-shaped wire saw is equipped with: a flexible core wire 11; an abrasive coil 12 which has a coil shape, is externally fitted to the core wire and has an abrasive 12A fastened to an external surface; a positioning spacer 13 which is fixed to the core wire at both ends of the abrasive coil, positions the abrasive coil in a compressed state shorter than the free length thereof and contacts the inside of the abrasive coil with the outside of the core wire; and a positioning layer 14 which has a covering structure in such a pressurized state that the recesses between the adjacent coil shapes of the abrasive coil become chip discharge recesses 12B with respect to the core wire and abrasive coil, and positions and holds the abrasive coil at the positioning attitude to the core wire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
