To easily and correctly evaluate the thickness of an insulating coating in a bending region of a coil wire.SOLUTION: A techniques disclosed herein is embodied in a coil wire. This coil wire includes a conductor and an insulating coating that covers the conductor. The insulating coating has a multilayer structure including a first layer and a second layer located outside the first layer.
