Abstract:
To provide a motor control device which ensures reliability through fail safe in a configuration that one leg of a bridge circuit is shared for two DC motors.SOLUTION: A motor control device 400 drives a first motor 71 and a second motor 72 which output torques in a brake direction or a non-brake direction in accordance with an electrification direction. A power converter 45 includes a first leg 51, a second leg 52 and a third leg 53 which are connected in parallel. A control unit 40 includes an abnormality detection section 41 capable of detecting at least one kind of abnormality among short-circuiting or open-circuiting of a positive side switch element or a negative side switch element of any leg, a sky fault or a ground fault of an inter-element connection point of any leg, short-circuiting or disconnection of a current path of the first motor 71 or the second motor 72, and abnormality of a current detector. When abnormality is detected by the abnormality detection section 41, the control unit 40 switches to control different from that at normal time so as to suppress influences caused by the abnormality.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
