Abstract:

To provide a coin processor which is small in size and capable of effectively and speedily separating coins into two kinds, a large diameter coin and a small diameter coin, and avoiding erroneous separation even when a plurality of coins are continuously inserted.

A coin processor comprises: a first coin passage 41 that is curved in whole and includes a first guide 21a which is arranged on one side wall of the passage and has a concave shape; and a second coin passage 42 which includes a rail 13 inclined downwardly with respect to a downstream and has a space 12 formed on another side wall of the passage opposite to the first guide 21a and between the rail 13 and a second guide 14 arranged above a coin rolling surface of the rail 13. The coin processor can separate coins by combining: first separation means for separating the coins, which slide on the inclined surface 21b to fall, by using an inclined surface 21b that is arranged above the first guide 21a and receives the coins falling through the first coin passage 41, and second separation means for separating the coins rolling on the rail 13 by using the rail 13 and the space 12.
