Abstract:

To provide a means for carrying out cold rolling while maintaining an adequate lubricated state.

When carrying out cold rolling using a cold tandem mill equipped with a plurality of stands, lubricant containing solid particles having an average particle diameter of 0.01-0.5 m is supplied to one or more stands of the cold tandem mill. The solid particles contained in the lubricant includes molybdenum disulfide, mica or the like which is a layered structure compound, ceramic particles, elasticity metal as a metallic group, a polymeric material such as polyimide as an organic material group and superfine particles such as cluster diamond or the like.
