To provide a metallic pipe and a manufacturing method thereof by which the metallic pipe can easily and inexpensively be manufactured by eliminating positioning and holding work in the joining part when manufacturing the metallic pipe by bending a rectangular planar body.

The metallic pipe 1 is formed by bending the rectangular planar body, and includes: a first fitting part 10 where is formed on one side face in the longitudinal direction of the planar body; and a second fitting part 20 where is formed on the other side face opposing to the one side face and fit to the first fitting part. It is preferable that at least one or more first fitting parts and second fitting parts are respectively formed on the side faces of the planar body.
