Abstract:
To provide a mechanism configured to harvest energy to power electronic components of an injection device to collect and transmit injection device data in an IoT network.SOLUTION: The present disclosure is directed to saving energy of an injection device by using: a sensor 103 attached to a housing 129, the sensor configured to detect a signal associated with an amount of medicament within the injection device 102 and to generate a sensor signal based on the signal; a control component 124 coupled to the sensor, the control component configured to harvest energy to process the sensor signal and to generate injection device data; and an antenna 128 coupled to the control component, the antenna configured to transmit a radio frequency signal based on the injection device data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
