Abstract:

To provide a collision safety system for properly supporting vehicle operation and controlling a vehicle according to the state of a driver.

The collision safety system is provided with: an obstacle detection means for detecting an obstacle around a vehicle; a collision risk determination means for determining whether the risk of collision between a vehicle and the obstacle is high or not; an alarm means for, when it is determined that the risk of collision is high by the collision risk determination means, notifying the driver of the vehicle about the risk of collision by issuing an alarm sound in the cabin of the vehicle; and a confusion determination means for determining whether or not the driver of the vehicle is confused. When the confusion determination means determines that the driver is confused, the alarm means includes a volume control means for reducing the volume of the alarm sound when it is determined that the driver is not confused.
