To provide a method for restricting login to a Web server system, for properly performing login restriction even to access by single sign-on when the Web server system has a high load.
This method for restricting login to the Web server system executes: a first step wherein a token issue source Web server 100 periodically confirms a load situation, of calculating the number of users capable of performing new login, issuing tokens, and previously distributing them to one or more token use Web servers 200 cooperating with each other by the single sign-on; a second step of confirming whether a usable token is present when the token use Web server 200 processes an access request by the single sign-on to the token issue source Web server 100 from the user; a third step of processing the access request by use of one of the tokens when the usable token is present; and a fourth step of rejecting the access request when the usable token is absent.
