Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color extraction method for a picture and a picture processor using the same method that expands a threshold to an element value of color other than a color displayed on a screen and can attain stabilization of extraction results even under the condition of illumination nonuniformity.
SOLUTION: This device has the first step that sets a threshold range with regard to values related to value R, value G and value B in a pixel selected from a picked up image, extracts as the same color as the selected pixel the pixel in which values related to value R, value G and value B of an arbitrary pixel in the picture do not exceed the threshold range, displays the extraction result, expands the threshold range with a command to instruct expansion of the threshold range used for extraction given and sets a new threshold range, and the second step for extracting based on the set new threshold range. It is constituted that, every time a command to instruct an expansion of the threshold range is given, the first step and the second step are repeated.
