To provide a color filter having small surface resistance and hardly forming a crack or a fine wrinkle on a pixel film or an overcoat film even at high temperature, and prevent a drop in the display grade of a liquid crystal display device.

This color filter has an ITO (tin oxide.indium) film having resistivity equal to or less than 3×10-4Ω.cm, and the peak position of an X-ray diffraction strength on planes (2, 2, 2) between 30.3 and 30.9 degrees, formed on the three-color pixel film of R(red), G(green) and B(blue) directly or via an overcoat film at room temperature. The liquid crystal display device is manufactured by use of the color filter so formed.
