This color filter is formed by repeating a process for irradiating a coating film of a photosensitive resin composition formed on a substrate, with a laser beam via a photomask, and for developing it to form a pattern, in every pixel color, the photosensitive resin composition contains a pigment, a monomer having an ethylenic unsaturated double bond, and a photopolymerization initiator and is curable by the irradiation of the laser beam, the photopolymerization initiator contains at least one kind of photopolymerization initiator A selected from the group comprising an oxime ester photopolymerization initiator, -amino alkyl phenone photopolymerization initiator and a carbazole photopolymerization initiator, and an acyl phosphine oxide photopolymerization initiator B, a weight ratio (a)/(b) of a content (a) of the photopolymerization initiator A to a content (b) of the photopolymerization initiator B satisfies (a)/(b)=0.6 to 4.0, and an integrated exposure amount of the laser beam is 1-150 mJ/cm2, in the color filter.
